The Spencer Park trip
W.A.L.T Write an information report that informs the audience.
Success Criteria
I know I will be successful when….
- I use an opening statement that explains the subject of the report.
- The opening statement is followed by sentences that describe the event; what you saw, what you did, how you felt, what you learnt.
- Each paragraph focuses on a different aspect of the topic; travelling, the beach, the lagoon walk, playground.
- A general statement about the topic usually rounds off the report.
The Spencer Park Trip
Last week we went to Spencer park. When we got out of the bus we split into groups.
At Spencer park there is a flying fox and a forest walk and a beach. We had free time at the beach. I ran around the beach it was fun. Me and Tom made holes in the sand near the water. So when a wave comes some water will go in the hole.
After that we had morning tea then we went for the forest walk. Me and Tom and Hunter found a big mountain of sand. So we walked up to it and jumped off the sand mountain.
Then we had lunch and had a big play after we had a play it was time to leave.
